Sirdar Ikbal Ali Shah

Son of the Nawab of Sardhana, and great grandson of the Afghan statesman Jan Fishan Khan, Sirdar Ikbal Ali Shah is one of the most respected literary figures of the pre-War years. His many very readable books make accessible the ancient traditions and cultures of Arabia and Central Asia. The Sirdar’s major works Afghanistan of the Afghans, Controlling Minds of Asia and Escape From Central Asia, are today regarded as classics.
